Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti credits Isco's goal with the difference in Tuesday's 6-1 Champions League win away against Galatasaray.
The Spanish giants struggled early on but eventually cruised to a comfortable victory after the young midfielder broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute.
"It's true that we struggled a bit in the first half, above all at the start of the game. Then Isco scored, which calmed us a lot, and after that the game changed and things became easier for us," Ancelotti told reporters.
"I think we started the match with a bit of a lack of confidence and did not show the right attitude to be able to control the game but it was the first Champions League match in a very tough stadium to play in, so it's only normal."
The Italian voiced his satisfaction with the final result and hailed the performances of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, who scored a hat-trick and a double respectively.
"It's a fantastic result. The result is great for us, good for boosting our confidence, personality and character," he enthused.
"When Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema both have good nights it makes things that much easier."
