The future of Felipe Melo is set to be decided within the next 10 days, with Galatasaray hoping to land the Brazilian midfielder on a permanent basis, according to Tuttosport.

The industrious midfielder has been a huge hit since his loan move to the Turkish giants from Juventus, scoring 10 goals in 30 games to help them win the league title and qualify for next season's Champions League.

However, Gala's participation in Europe's premier club competition is under threat after allegations made by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) regarding their involvement in match fixing.

With Galatasaray aiming to finance any move for Melo with the money gained through Champions League qualification, the club will now have to wait for the TFF's decision on the matter, which is scheduled for June 4.

Nonetheless, they remain optimistic of being cleared of all charges and have set their sights on permanently acquiring Melo, who scored two goals in the championship play-offs to become a firm crowd favourite.

Juventus are reportedly keen to clear the decks this summer and inject new blood into the team after their record-breaking Scudetto-winning season. However, one potential sticking point may be the transfer fee.

The Old Lady are reportedly demanding €13 million (£10.4m) for Melo, but Galatasaray are understood to be reluctant to pay more than €10m for the 28-year-old's services.
