VIDEO: New Manchester United signing Bebe scores & misses a sitter for Portugal Under-21s
Youngster scored the opener in 3-1 win over Macedonia...
By 101 Great Goals
It can't be easy for new Manchester United signing Bebe. His rags-to-riches life story, combined with signing for the biggest club in England means his every move will now be heavily scrutinised.
Throw in the fact that Manchester United could have bagged him for free earlier in the summer and Sir Alex Ferguson's admission that he hadn't seen Bebe play before signing him means he will likely be labelled a flop or success story within weeks.
For most of us, footage of the unknown former Homeless World Cup star at this point is a start, since it wasn't that long ago that Bebe was playing in the Portuguese third division.
Tonight Manchester United's surprise signing made his second appearance for the Portugal Under-21 side and he managed to score in a 3-1 win against Macedonia.
The goal came in the 23rd minute and in truth despite it being credited to Bebe, was a terrible howler from Macedonia 'keeper Andreja Efremov.
Early in the second-half, Bebe had a great chance to double Portugal U21s and his own tally but the new great hope of Manchester United managed to miss a very easy chance from a fizzing left wing cross.
Bebe's poor miss v Macedonia Under-21s is on this video.
We may need to take a little longer to come to any conclusions about the most surprising transfer of summer 2010.

"[Gary] Cahill I suppose is slightly more of a concern for me because it is a jaw injury. We're desperately hoping the CT scan doesn't show any fracture and it's just going to be a bruising situation, which will be bad enough, but won't stop him taking part in the tournament. As far as John's [Terry] concerned he felt his hamstring a little bit. Again it wasn't a major thing when he came off but we still need to scan it just to be 100 per cent sure."
Suffice to say, if Cahill has broken his jaw, he won't play any part in the tournament.
