The prestigious monthly accolade has been awarded following his efforts to combine football with fire and road safety and helping people to get their FA coaching badges
Amiet has been recognised for developing a project called Coaching for a Safer Community [C4SC] which combines football with fire and road safety messaging runs in schools across Sussex.
Since 2006, David has worked with over 80,000 young people and helped 63 coaches to achieve various levels of their FA Coaching badges.
He has also extended the programme to disability groups - including wheelchair and blind football.
The monthly Barclays award aims to recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals that use sport to benefit communities across the UK.
