Poll of the Day: Do Chelsea need to sign a striker in January?

Jose Mourinho claims the club will not purchase a new forward in the upcoming transfer window but do you think the Blues need to bolster their frontline?

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho announced in his Friday press conference that the Blues would not sign a striker in the January transfer window and keep faith with Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba.

The Stamford Bridge outfit have been heavily linked with a £30 million move for Porto hitman Jackson Martinez, with the player's representative claiming a meeting with Mourinho in London last week. However the Portuguese coach moved to quell talk of a deal for the Colombian, insisting he is happy with his options.

Mourinho also spoke about Romelu Lukaku and his loan move to Everton, hinting that the Belgian asked for a temporary move rather than fight for first-team football.

Regardless of the youngster's current situation, Mourinho seems happy to have the choice of three strikers for the remainder of the campaign.

Are Chelsea well covered up front with Torres, Eto'o and Ba? Or should Mourinho use the January transfer window to make a move for Martinez or someone of his ilk?
