thumbnail Hello,

Frank Lampard is set to join the likes of David Beckham and Bobby Moore when he makes 100th appearance for the Three Lions tonight, but who is the best player to reach that mark?

Who is the greatest England centurion of them all?

Frank Lampard is set to join the exclusive three-figure club when he takes to the field against Ukraine on Tuesday night.

His fellow team-mates Steven Gerrard and Ashley Cole have already passed the landmark and Roy Hodgson will become the first England manager to field three centurions in the same side if the trio all make the starting line-up.

England's all-time record appearance holder is goalkeeping legend Peter Shilton, who amassed an incredible 125 caps over a 20-year international career.

World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore and his former team-mate Sir Bobby Charlton are the two member's of England's greatest side to play over a hundred games for their country.

While, Wolves hero Billy Wright was the first ever international footballer to surpass the 100 appearances mark for his country, securing the honour as England captain way back in 1958.

Who is England's greatest ever 100-cap hero? Do Bobby Moore and Bobby Charlton have a stronger claim as part of that World Cup winning side? Or is it tougher to earn a century of appearances in the modern game?
