Another player who has left Anfield is Andy Carroll, who joined West Ham this summer following a loan spell at Upton Park. Sam Allardyce's side have also secured the services of Romania full-back Razvan Rat.
Norwich have splashed out on a new forward line with both Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Gary Hooper arriving, while Fulham have recruited Adel Taarabt from Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan deal.
Sunderland manager Paulo Di Canio has brought in eight new players, with Italy international Emanuele Giaccherini, Vito Mannone and Jozy Altidore the major arrivals at the Stadium of Light.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are yet to make a significant impact in the transfer market, with Loic Remy the only senior player to join Alan Pardew's side this summer.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa have succeeded in their main summer task of keeping Christian Benteke at the club, while Southampton have bolstered their options with the signings of Dejan Lovren and Victor Wanyama.
