Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has confirmed that the club have rejected two separate offers from Arsenal for striker Luis Suarez.
As exclusively revealed by Goal, the Uruguayan is preparing to submit an official transfer request to force through a move after the Gunners' latest £42 million bid, which came after their initial £35m offer was turned down.
Speaking at a press conference in Bangkok, Ayre declared: "It's never been our intention to sell Luis. We've received two separate offers from Arsenal and rejected both."
Would signing the controversial striker give Arsene Wenger's side that desperately needed push for silverware next season? Is Suarez the man to lead the club the Premier League glory, or can he simply not be trusted?
Is Arsene Wenger right to try and spend such a large amount on a player who is currently serving a long-term ban? Or is Suarez be the final piece in the jigsaw for a side that has lacked a cutting edge since Robin van Persie's departure?
Everybody has an opinion on Luis Suarez but could he be the one to end Arsenal's eight-year wait for a trophy and land the title for the Gunners next year?
