The Spain international reiterated his intention to remain at Stamford Bridge next season but can the new Chelsea boss rely on the striker he branded as 'so-so'?
Fernando Torres' Chelsea future is looking increasingly uncertain after his new manager Jose Mourinho branded his Blues career to date as "so-so".
The Portuguese boss feels the 29-year-old hasn't lived up to his potential since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Liverpool for a staggering £50 million in January 2011.
The Spaniard wants to stay, but Mourinho seems undecided and Chelsea have already seen a £34 million-plus-Torres bid for Edinson Cavani rejected by Napoli.
Where could Torres end up if he does leave Stamford Bridge? Should he head to back to Atletico Madrid in La Liga, or how about a cut-price return to Anfield to possibly replace Suarez?
