thumbnail Hello,

The Scot is on his way to Manchester United, so who should chairman Bill Kenwright bring in to usher in a new era at Goodison Park? Have your say on who you think it should be

Now David Moyes has swapped the blue of Goodison Park for the red of Old Trafford, Everton are in need of a new manager for the first time since March 2002.

Roberto Martinez has announced his departure from FA Cup winners and Championship-bound Wigan and he is the bookies’ favourite for the Toffees job, with the Latics confirming they have given permission for him to speak to an unnamed club, believed to be Everton.

Before Martinez was touted so heavily, a move for Celtic boss Neil Lennon looked very likely. Lennon is coming off the back of his second SPL title at Celtic Park and guiding the Hoops to a very impressive Champions League run.

Vitor Pereira of Porto was also strongly favoured for a time, after winning two Portuguese league titles in row, while Malky Mackay of Cardiff could be rewarded for bringing the Welsh outfit to the Premier League with a move to Everton.

Some Everton fans have called for Alan Stubbs to be promoted from his role as coach, while others would like to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer end his very successful spell with Molde to return to England.

Who is the right man to step into the big shoes of Manchester United-bound David Moyes? An experienced Premier League boss like Martinez or an international option like Pereira?
