Jose Antonio Reyes hopes Atletico de Madrid can build on their Copa del Rey win against Marbella under new coach Quique Sanchez Flores, he told Goal.com's Christian Nacimbera.

The 26-year-old has been frustrated by the team's poor start to the campaign but thinks that things could be about to change under the new coach.

Goal.com: Was it an important win psychologically against Marbella?

Reyes: The most important thing was that we kept a clean sheet, which is something we have not been able to do. I think that the win will give us a morale boost when we return to league action. We will try to progress in the Copa del Rey too.

Goal.com: How have the first few days under Quique Sanchez Flores been? You know him, of course, from Benfica.

Reyes: He has already held many talks with us, but in only a few days not much has been done. Luckily we now have a number of training sessions with him before the next league game. I did work under him in Portugal and he had faith in me and gave me more chances than I had with the previous coach, who hardly ever played me.

Goal.com: Has Quique found the players to be feeling positive?

Reyes: It is obvious that we are going through a bad patch, but we have to believe that we can change this. We have a great squad. We are Atletico de Madrid and we will be back up near the top soon.
