Latics chairman Dave Whelan is thought to be ready to cash in on the Frenchman with both the Magpies and Sunderland reported to be interested in signing the 25-year old winger
Whelan rejected a last minute £11m bid from Newcastle United in January but now that Premier League safety has been secured the owner is reportedly willing to cash in on his prize asset.
The Daily Mirror has reported that manager Roberto Martinez and Dave Whelan are willing to let the winger go to a Champions League team.
However it is thought that the pair will fight much harder to keep hold of the Frenchman if a team from the lower end of the Premier League comes in with a bid for him.
North east pair Sunderland and Newcastle are reportedly interested in the winger but may have to negotiate somewhat harder if they wish to prize him away from Wigan.
