thumbnail Hello,

Manchester City have refuted claims that they have made Everton utility man John Heitinga a summer transfer target, according to a report from The Liverpool Echo.

The player himself had hinted that he was seeking a move up the East Lancs Road to City recently as reports surfaced that City were after the Dutchman.

However, The Echo states that City are bemused by the reports and will continue their pursuit of other targets.

Everton boss David Moyes was left angered by the Citizens' conduct last summer when they eventually managed to prise Joleon Lescott away from Goodison Park.

With reports linking Steven Pienaar and Mikel Arteta to moves away from Merseyside, Moyes would seem to have another busy close-season ahead of him, battling to keep his stars.
