AEK Athens to ask Liverpool to extend Krisztian Nemeth’s loan stay for another year - report
The 21-year-old Hungarian forward has netted three goals in 12 appearances for the Greek side and has impressed the club's hierarchy.
New AEK president Stavros Adamidis is expected on Merseyide this week for talks about the player. He is also keen to persude the Reds to allow more of their fringe players to spend time on loan in Athens.
Nemeth himself insists that regular football is his aim and he is ready to acquiesce to whatever Liverpool may decide.
"I have a contract with Liverpool and so AEK must talk to the club,” he said.
“If the two clubs reach an agreement, then I’ll negotiate with AEK and decide what to do. For me the most important thing is to play.
“The new president told me that he wants to keep me at AEK and that’s why he’s going to travel to Liverpool.
“I’m fine in Athens but the two clubs must negotiate and make a deal.”
