Stoke City striker Tuncay Sanli to take Middlesbrough to court over unpaid fees - report
Stoke City forward Tuncay Sanli is set to take former club Middlesbrough to court over a half-a-million-pound settlement, reports The Sentinel.
The Turkish international claims that his former employers owe him a total of £544,677 in unpaid image, sporting and economic rights.
The claims suggest that Boro agreed to pay the former Fenerbache man a sum of £3,544,677 for the rights when he initially joined the club, but have reportedly only paid out £3 million.
As well as the court case between Tuncay and Middlesbrough, the players agent is also set to launch a High Court appeal against the Championship side.
Mikel Eiguren Arano claims to be owed £400,000 plus interest in unpaid fees after allegedly only receiving £800,00 of an agreed £1.2 million package for his role in taking Tuncay to Middlesbrough from Fenerbahche in 2007.
Tuncay has made 21 appearances for Stoke since joining from relegated Middlesbrough in a £5 million move last season, and has scored four goals for the Potters thus far.
