Serie A powerhouses Inter and AC Milan are mulling over a swap loan deal involving out-of-favour Nerazzurri winger Amantino Mancini and Rossoneri left-back Marek Jankulovski.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the transaction could be completed before the transfer window slams shut on Monday night, and could help soothe tensions between the two clubs following last Sunday’s 'Derby della Madonnina'.
Inter won the hostile enounter 2-0 and a bitter war of words ensued after Beneamata boss Jose Mourinho lamented that the Diavoli had received special treatment from referee Gianluca Rocchi.
The official had controversially reduced the champions to 10-men midway through the first-half, by sending off Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder for dissent.
Inter are in the hunt for a left-back after Romanian international Cristian Chivu was ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a fractured skull.
And they have pinpointed Jankulovski, who has slipped down the pecking order this term under Leonardo, as an ideal stand-in.
The Czech Republic international full-back is currently playing second fiddle to Luca Antonini.
Mancini has been similarly on the fringes of the Inter squad so far this season and a mooted move to French side Olympique Marseille collapsed earlier this month.

We've heard from all the big players from tonight's games as Milan and Zenit record first leg victories.
For Milan progression to next round seems inevitable after they thumped Arsenal 4-0 at the San Siro.
However things are very different for Zenith, and despite their win you may actually make Benfica favourites given they scored two away goals in Russia.

All this focus on the Arsenal and Milan game should not take away from another cracker earlier tonight between Zenit and Benfica. The Russians came from a goal down to lead 2-1 in the closing minutes before Oscar Cardozo levelled things for Benfica, but it wasn't over there as Roman Shirokov won the game for Zenit in the 88th minute.

Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny bemoaned his side's luck tonight but refused to give up. Here's some of his quotes, the full story is here.

I'm just watching the highlights of the game and some of Arsenal's defending really was shocking. It really makes you wonder why Wenger didn't bolster the defence in January.
