Arsenal target Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic - report

Neven Subotic, Borussia Dortmund (firo)
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is pondering a swoop for Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic amid fears that William Gallas will leave on a free transfer in the summer.

The Daily Mail
indicates that the Gunners boss fears that Gallas, 32, will reject the offer of a new 12-month contract at the Emirates in favour of a move abroad.

Gallas is believed to want a longer deal than just one year.

Subotic, valued at around £15 million, claimed that he was happy in Germany earlier this week, as reports circulated that he was also piquing the interest of Manchester City, Manchester United, Inter and Juventus.

Earlier this year, he signed a new deal at Dortmund that lasts until 2014.
