Manchester City could be turning their transfer focus to Italy as they reportedly ponder a bid for Milan's Gennaro Gattuso.
The player himself is keen on an exit from the San Siro in order to boost his chances of making Italy's World Cup squad and, according to The Daily Mirror, has informed friends that he will be moving to Eastlands in January.
The former Rangers midfielder known as Rino is apparently not enjoying the best of working relationships with Milan coach Leonardo and is seeking a move after a decade with the Serie A giants.
Gattuso would add bite and drive to City's midfield, and already speaks English from his time in the SPL. His wife is Scottish-born, and he should be able to settle easily.
The two clubs now have to thrash out the fine details of the move, including a transfer fee, according to the report.
