In response to some worried fans, he simply replied: "I'm not leaving."
The right-back has made just nine Premier League appearances this season and has been substituted in five of those matches.
Fabio has been linked with a move to Cardiff City in January after failing to break into the United side under new manager David Moyes.
The 23-year-old was on loan at QPR last season and has made just three appearances during the current campaign; 90 minutes against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, a last-minute substitute cameo in the Capital One Cup and five minutes against Swansea in the FA Cup before he was sent off shortly after being brought off the bench.
Cardiff boss and former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently refused to comment on speculation linking the Bluebirds with a move for Fabio and outcast Wilfried Zaha.
