Lee McCulloch notched a double with Andrew Little also getting on the scoresheet in a first half which the Gers dominated.
Before the domination started it was the visitors who nearly took the lead, but David Weatherston could only smash his volley against the post.
McCulloch opened the scoring with a bullet header as he climbed above everyone else after a fine corner from Ian Back.
The first half was dominated by Ally McCoist's side who soon doubled their lead. Little with a fine goal as he ran in behind the defence to latch on to a Dean Shiels through-ball to finish.
Falkirk managed to get to half time without conceding again but they were the makers of their own further demise just seven minutes after the break.
A mix-up between goalkeeper and defender as both tried to clear a loose ball presented McCulloch the opportunity to grab his second of the game and seal a comfortable win for the Third Division side.
