Marc-Antoine Fortune signs for West Bromwich Albion
Former loanee leaves Celtic to return to Hawthorns
By Alex Richards
Marc-Antoine Fortune, the Celtic striker, has signed for West Bromwich Albion after the clubs agreed to an undisclosed fee late last night.
The striker played the full 90 minutes for Celtic last night in their 4-0 Europa League defeat by Utrecht, however manager Neil Lennon has allowed the forward to make the move to the Hawthorns.
Fortune, enjoyed a mildly successful loan spell with Albion two seasons ago, when Tony Mowbray was manager.
The French-Guyana forward then made a £2.75m move from his club Nancy to follow Mowbray to Celtic Park, when Mowbray became Celtic boss last summer.
But having failed to settle in Glasgow, the striker returns to familiar surroundings in the West Midlands having penned a two-year deal, plus a further year's option in the club's favour.
