Marco Borriello advises Mario Balotelli to leave Inter & join AC Milan
One striker invites another to join the club he supports...
By Salvatore Landolina
AC Milan striker Marco Borriello has made an appeal to Inter hitman Mario Balotelli, telling the youngster he will be made to feel welcome there.
Despite winning a unique treble, Balotelli often endured a turbulent relationship with all factions of the Nerazzurri establishment. Squad exclusions and tension with fans and fellow team-mates were the story of his season.
But Borriello has said joining Milan will give Balotelli a new lease of life to start over and enjoy happy playing days.
"I can understand the fans, but I also understand him [Balotelli]. What he did against Barcelona wasn't nice, but you can understand this when the papers and your team-mates are against you," Borriello told GQ magazine.
"We would welcome him with open arms at Milan. We are a strong club and he would find team-mates ready to help him, not kick him up the backside," he said.
