Barcelona star Xavi: Cesc Fabregas has no choice but to leave Arsenal
Catalans' playmaker offers unequivocal assessment...
By Zack Wilson
Barcelona midfielder Xavi is keen to see Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas join him in Catalonia, and believes that the player has no option but to leave the Gunners if he wants to win trophies.
The saga regarding the future of the Spain international has reached boiling point in recent days, with an exit from the Emirates seemingly becoming more likely by the day.
Barca president Joan Laporta wants to get the situation resolved quickly, whilst Xavi can see no real choice for Fabregas to make if he is serious about wanting to win the game's biggest club prizes.
“It is criminal for a player of Cesc’s quality not to be winning the biggest prizes in football," the midfielder told reporters.
"He really has no choice but to leave. He is making the right decision and I hope the Arsenal fans wish him well."
