Welshman believes Spain have best chance to win the tournament

Manchester United's Welsh midfielder Ryan Giggs will be supporting England at the World Cup this summer.

The Three Lions, who are in Austria preparing for pre-World Cup friendlies against Mexico and Japan, are considered one of the tournament favourites.

The former Wales international will be rooting for his United team-mates who are competing in South Africa but believes that Spain are the team to beat.

“I’ll be on the beach but I’ll be supporting all my team-mates, including the England lads,” Giggs told The Daily Star.

“Then when it gets to the quarter-finals, I will watch every game like any other football supporter.

“There are six or seven teams like Brazil, Argentina, England, Germany and Spain who will be in the mix to win it, but Spain are the only team that stand out for me.

“They would be my favourites at the moment. They have only lost once in 45 games, which is unbelievable.”
