Midfield stalwart wants to remain at Hammers...West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker has stated he wants to stay at the club next season, but only if assurances can be given with regards to future player investment.
The Hammers came close to slipping into the Championship this season, finishing just five points clear of the drop-zone, and Parker wants to make sure he doesn't endure another miserable campaign at Upton Park.
Parker, who is tied to the club until 2013, assured Hammers' fans of his commitment but insisted things need to improve at Upton Park, and quickly.
The midfield general is pleased the ownership of the club has been rectified, and hopes to see several new faces come through the doors this summer.
"I want to stay here [West Ham United], but that is out of my hands," he told The People.
"I have had a great season and the fans really appreciate me, but at the same time I want to see the club going in the right way.
"I certainly don't want to be involved in another season like this. I think stability is the key factor and the club needs massive investment.
"Hopefully the new owners will do what they have to do, strengthen the squad and we can move forward.
"It is encouraging that they want to bring in so many new players and hopefully they can do that."
