Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has stated that should he leave the Gunners then it would be for Barcelona.

Reports have surfaced claiming that the player has already agreed a four-year contract with the Catalan giants and is just now waiting for the clubs to seal the move.

Fabregas has confirmed his destination but has still not set a possible date for it to take place.

"If I leave Arsenal, it is to play at Barca," he told Marca.

"I do not know when it will happen, I am very happy at Arsenal and I have no hurry to leave.

"Barca are still playing in their league and I am also an Arsenal player, so I don't want to show a lack of respect."

However, Fabregas did intimate that he would like the issue resolved before he travels to the World Cup in South Africa with Spain.

"Before the World Cup I want to know my future, because playing a 'Mundial' and having something hanging over my head does not benefit anyone," he explained.

The midfielder also insisted that he did not feel that he had been exploited by the candidates in the Catalan club's presidential election.

"Nobody has contacted me, so I do not feel used," he stated.

According to the Castrol Rankings Fabregas is the seventh best midfielder in Europe, coming in at No.35.
