UEFA president Michel Platini is pleased to see Fulham contesting their first European final when they take on Atletico Madrid tonight in the Europa League showpiece in Hamburg.
The Cottagers' presence in the final of the competition exemplifies everything that is good about football, a game in which the minnow always has a chance against the favourite, according to Platini.
"The two clubs that reach the Europa League final are two good teams, of course," the Frenchman told Sky Sports News.
"Because they beat many good teams to arrive in the finals - they are not small!
"Football is nice for that. Football is unpredictable.
"That is why it is nice and we love it. The small teams can beat the biggest, the biggest can beat the smallest. Everything is possible in football."
Paltini also confirmed that he was looking forward to enjoying what should be a great occasion.
"Yes, I will love the final... I am the only guy sure to be at the final because I have to give the cup to the captain! It will be nice," he added.
"Atletico Madrid are one of the great teams of Europe, Fulham are a new team, it's the first final for Fulham. It's nice to see that. I love that."
