Injury problems may force Italian's hand for the promotion run-in...

West Bromwich Albion manager Roberto Di Matteo may be forced to dip into the loan market due to injury problems as the club push for promotion to the Premier League.

As it stands, the Italian is definitely without Jonas Olsson, Steven Reid and Roman Bednar for this weekend's clash against Preston while Jerome Thomas also remains a doubt. Chilien Gonzalo Jara is already likely to miss the rest of the season.

The former Chelsea midfielder is happy with the squad at his disposal over the final two months of the season but admits his current injury problems may lead him to re-evaluate ahead of next Thursday's 5pm loan deadline.

He said on the club's official website: "We'll have to see how our injuries are.

"If everyone was fit then I'd be happy with our squad. We'll have to see our situation when the deadline comes."
