Arsenal star Andrey Arshavin revealed that he crashed his car in London on Monday, but escaped serious injury.

Gunners fans will breath a sign of relief at the news as their team push for the Premier League title, and will need the impish Russian at his best.

The player himself, who scored the Gunners' opener in their dramatic 2-1 win at Hull City at the weekend, cheerfully brushed the accident off.

"It was a sunny day here in London and even a small traffic accident that has happened to [wife] Yulia and me, wasn't able to spoil our spring mood," Arshavin noted on his personal website.

"The second car involved got slightly scratched and my car’s bumper got damaged. It took us five minutes to solve this problem, we exchanged information and left.

"Good luck on the roads!"
