John Pantsil: Fulham do not fear any Europa League opponent
Pantsil 'not used to losing'...
By Alan Dawson
Defender John Pantsil appeared bullish ahead of Fulham's Europa League clash with Juventus, claiming the west Londonders fear no-one.
The Cottagers have already slain last season's UEFA Cup winners Shakhtar Donetsk and achieved good results against Roma and FC Basel earlier in the competition.
"We're not afraid of anyone – whoever comes, we are ready," Pantsil said to Uefa's official website. "I'm not used to losing games. I just go for victory."
Fulham battled relegation two seasons ago finishing in seventh place in the Premier League the following year and, in so doing, booked their place in this season's inaugural Europa League competition.
All these modern achievements were masterminded by experienced tactician Roy Hodgson, a man who has won the praise of Pantsil.
"He [Hodgson] has done well. He has time for each and every [player]," Pantsil added.
"He has changed the team, he has lifted the team to a certain level. His training makes us feel more relaxed and more comfortable with our positions on the pitch. He is experienced.
"He knows how to coach his players to play European football."
