Sir Alex Ferguson's side take a 3-2 lead into the game from the first leg in Italy.
Despite their three away goals, Ferguson believes their opponents still pose a threat to his team's progression in the tournament.
A win on the night, therefore is a priority.
"Wayne is fit; I'm glad to say he's fit," a relieved Ferguson revealed at a pre-match press conference earlier today.
"There is a rapid improvement since Saturday morning; when he looked extremely doubtful. He's okay."
On the balance of the two-legged affair, he added: "It's certainly an open tie.
"We'll see, first of all, a great game of football, and it will also be an open game.
"AC Milan have to score. We shouldn't treat the 3-2 lead as a bye into the later stage of the competition. We need to win the match."

Only time will tell, but what if he had signed for the Gunners 12 years ago? Things could have been so different!
