Everton manager David Moyes applauds convincing victory over Hull City
Scot delighted after 5-1 drubbing

Everton manager David Moyes praised his side’s performance after they romped to a 5-1 victory over Hull City at Goodison Park.
“We’ve been playing really well recently,” he told Sky Sports.
“Today we went about it in the right way. After we missed the penalty and it went to 1-1 our players lost their way a bit.
“But the players have done a great job.”
Spaniard Mikel Arteta scored two first half goals to give Everton the start they needed, and he was singled out by Moyes for his performance.
He added: “He [Arteta] has done some fantastic stuff.
"He’s improving all the time, and when he’s right we’re a really good team.”
American loanee Landon Donovan came on late in the second half for what could be his last appearance at Goodison Park and Moyes was happy with the impact he made.
He continued: “We told him [Donovan] to go on and finish with a goal.
“I thought he finished it great and when he came on he was good. The effort he has put in has been excellent.”
With Donovan’s loan spell due to end soon Moyes revealed that he hasn’t given up all hope of extending his stay.
“We might try and see if we can extend it, but it looks like it’s not possible,” he said.
The win puts Everton into 8th position in the Premier League and pushing for a Europa League spot, and Moyes is looking for more consistency from his side to secure European football for next season.
He concluded: “We need to push on and finish strongly.
“We’re a good footballing team; we’ve shown that against the top teams in the league, now we need to show that sort of performance regularly.”
