Future Everton goalkeeper Jan Mucha is relishing the prospect of striding out in the Toffees' colours next season.

Mucha, currently of Legia Warsaw, signed a pre-contract with the Merseyside club in January, and will link up with David Moyes' side in the summer.

However, the 27-year-old Slovakia international has revealed that he rejected the chance of sealing a more lucrative deal in Turkey to join Everton's ranks.

"I had many other offers but when I heard 'Everton', I felt 'this is it'," Mucha explained on the club's official website.

"I could have gone to Turkey – there were two big bids," he added.

"If I'd gone, I would have been a millionaire because the money they offered was staggering.

"But I would never have forgiven myself if I had not tried England; if I'd rejected an offer from the Premier League."

Arsenal, according to reports, were also believed to be interested in Mucha.
