Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf helped AC Milan back into the match with a late goal, but the experienced playmaker couldn't prevent Manchester United from recording a 3-2 victory at San Siro.

"I can only agree with [coach] Leonardo that this tie isn't over yet," he said. "We have all seen what Milan are capable of. We have what it takes to hurt Manchester United. They were vulnerable at the back on occasions and we have to be more clinical up front," Seedorf was quoted as saying by novantesimo.

"It's important for us to keep possession as long as possible in the second leg. We proved today that Manchester struggle when they don't control the game. We can still qualify for the next round if only we have a little bit more luck in England.

"We really put in a good performance today and caused Manchester a lot of problems. However, they have Wayne Rooney up front and he converts every single chance he gets at the moment. That's the only reason why United can afford to play like this."
