Chelsea assistant Ray Wilkins blames lack of intensity for defeat at Everton
Coach 'disappointed' at defending for Louis Saha's double...
By James Daly
A Louis Saha brace handed the three points to the home side, despite Florent Malouda's opener.
"You have to give Everton a lot of credit for the way they played," Wilkins told Sky Sports.
"They certainly worked extremely hard, didn't give us a lot of time on the ball, and when you're working against that then it's going to be a difficult evening.
"Perhaps we lacked a touch of intensity but apart from that our football was good and we just couldn't pull it off in the end.
"If you look at the game as a whole you could say that Everton just about deserved to win it."It is disappointing but all good things [a reference to Chelsea's 13-game unbeaten run in all competitions] must come to an end. We have got to be disappointed with the goals that we gave away.
"We have been on a good run but now we have to go on another one."-
