As the race for the coveted Premier League fourth place gathers pace, Harry Redknapp predicts an all out attacking match between his fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa on Saturday.

Fresh from their FA Cup replay win at Leeds United, Spurs go into the home game high on confidence and with their strikers in good goal-scoring form. However, the task to remain in a Champions League berth will not be easy as Villa are also enjoying an impressive run of form and only two points separate the teams.

"It's a big game [Tottenham Hotspur against Aston Villa] and a fantastic game to look forward to," Redknapp is quoted as saying by Tottenham’s official website.

"Martin O'Neill [Aston Villa manager] has built a a great team there and I think it will be an exciting game with both teams having a real go and looking to win.

"They are an open, attacking, exciting team with pace in wide positions and through the middle.

"Martin made some key signings in the summer, the likes of [Richard] Dunne, [James] Collins, [Stephen] Warnock and they really strengthened the team up.

"But we're strong as well. We had a great result at Leeds [United], we were excellent. We showed great character as well as playing terrific football to win a really difficult cup tie."

The midweek FA cup triumph included a hat-trick for Jermain Defoe, whose partnership with Peter Crouch is proving a handful for opposition defences. Although Redknapp is aware that Villa have a miserly backline.

"They are strong defensively but we've got good forwards. We're scoring goals, creating chances and Jermain Defoe is in goalscoring form and playing well with Crouchy [Peter Crouch].”

The FA Cup match also featured a return-to-form performance by ex-Arsenal man David Bentley, which didn’t escape Redknapp’s attention.

"David Bentley is in great form and we've the likes of Luka Modric, Niko Kranjcar. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities for both teams and hopefully we'll take more than them."
