Tottenham Hotspur's Alan Hutton 'over the moon' following Sunderland loan deal
Scottish right-back hoping to impress Steve Bruce...
By Adithya Ananth
The former Rangers right-back found regular football hard to come by under manager Harry Redknapp, thereby prompting a move to the Stadium of Light to ply his trade under Steve Bruce.
The deal was done on deadline day, and the 25-year-old is buoyed by his switch but acknowledges that he will have to work hard to impress the gaffer enough to be handed a regular spot in the club's starting line-up.
"Everyone wants to play football and I'm no different," Hutton said in The Daily Mirror.
"But I know that, like anyone else, I'll have to give 110 per cent to show I'm worthy of a starting place.
"I'm over the moon to be here. When I was at Rangers the fans were superb and I'm sure Sunderland's will be the same."
