West Ham United sign Middlesbrough's Mido on four-month loan deal
Egypt targetman back in Premier League to prove a point...
By Zack Wilson
The former Spurs forward had been on loan in Egypt with Zamalek but insisted he went back in the Premier League to show what a good player he was, despite some recent inconsistent spells at Middlesbrough and Wigan Athletic.
"I had to sacrifice some things but I'm here to play football again and I'm here to prove a point - definitely," the striker told Sky Sports News.
"I'm very happy to be here and it's a great club. I'm sure I will do well here, hopefully."
Hammers fans will be hoping that the striker can show the kind of form he showed in his first season in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur, where he bagged 13 goals in 36 games in 2005/06.
Mido joins Benni McCarthy as a new striker at Upton Park, with the South African moving south from Blackburn Rovers earlier in the day.
Goal.com reported earlier in the day that Mido was prepared to waive £600,000 owed to him by Zamalek to get back to the Premiership.
