Salomon Kalou has returned from international duty feeling fit and ready to start scoring goals for Chelsea.

The striker has spent the last month away from Stamford Bridge at the African Cup of Nations in Angola with the Ivory Coast.

The Blues have scored 17 goals in their last four games without him and fellow-countryman Didier Drogba and he is keen to help continue that run at Burnley at the weekend.

"I am fit to play, I didn't pick up any injuries and am feeling well, and I have a lot of confidence," he told his club's official website.

"I thought I had a good game for Chelsea against Fulham before we left and now I come back in good form."

Kalou also stayed in up to date with goings on back at the club whilst he was away in Africa and was certainly pleased with what he saw of his club mates on television.

"I watched some of the games, brilliant," he enthused.

"I think that the way the team played shows we are in the best form.

"I wouldn't think we would keep winning games, every team has its moments where they are not playing well, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and we had our difficult moments but are back in a good one.

"Now we need to keep winning and take points, because that's how we win the title.

"In Africa we were lucky because we had the Premier League on TV, so I watched the Sunderland game, which was amazing, and some other Cup games, Manchester United v Leeds, West Ham v Arsenal, so we were in touch with England all the time.'

"The team has been playing a different system and with the 4-3-2-1, we played it in the second half against Fulham in December and played much better.

"It is a great way of playing, everyone has been at their best and it is nice to watch. I have been here almost four years and I have played in every system, so I know that I can adapt to it."
