Chelsea target Sergio Aguero has admitted that he is prepared to leave Atletico Madrid.
But the forward has stressed that he is not looking to leave in the upcoming transfer window as he attempts to lead the stuttering Spanish side back into Europe.
Table-topping Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentinian forward, and, with a transfer embargo lifted, are expected to make a move for the player in January.
Carlo Ancelotti will be keen to bolster his frontline with several key players leaving for the African Cup of Nations.
Aguero has been quoted as saying: "I've always told the club that from now until June I'll stay here.
"Then we will see what they do. If in June the club still needs money, there are ways to help.
"This is my home, but if the club have to sell me, I must go.
"I know nothing. Now I need to concentrate on getting us into Europe."
The player's desire to stay until the end of the season, combined with the prospect of a possible transfer ban for Chelsea in the summer, is likely to result in the clubs reaching an agreement in January whereby the Blues purchase and then loan back the £45 million rated player.
