Was out quickly to smother before Sammon when the ball had broken loose inside the West Brom area but was beaten by Moses's stunning curled effort.
Another assured display in defence alongside some typical great defensive blocks to keep Sammon at bay.
A quiet match down the left but when forraying forward in the first-half he set up Odemwingie, whose goal-bound shot was blocked by Caldwell. Put in some dangerous crosses in the second-half.
Scored a thunderbolt against the same opposition for Blackburn Rovers which won goal of the month and he repeated the trick here with a lovely curled effort from a free-kick. But he gave away the crucial penalty and could have been given a second yellow card.
Missed two good chances early on. Defensively he looked solid alongside McAuley.
Proved to be a good threat down the left and his early cross was nearly stabbed home by Brunt before having another shot later which was blocked by Stam on its way towards goal. Looks to be playing with confidence and is a threat everytime he gets the ball.
Came close twice to opening the scoring but first volleyed over before hitting a thunderbolt against the bar from 20 yards. Was not as much of a threat afterwards, although he still got forward to support the strikers.
Shone again in midfield, putting in some excellent tackles to break up Wigan attacks, and alongside Mulumbu looks to be forming a strong partnership.
Was in brilliant form against Tottenham at The Hawthorns, but he could not repeat those heroics here as Wigan found space behind West Brom's midfield. Mulumbu can also be faulted for the Moses' goal which he tried, but failed, to clear on the slide. Was cheered when replaced by Dorrans, such is his cult status here.
The Irishman has been the stand-out striker for the Baggies this season but he was denied by Al Habsi when it looked like he had scored.
Reinstated into the starting XI, Odemwingie looked nervous and gave the ball away on too many occasions. However, only Caldwell's block denied his goal-bound shot.
Ali Al Habsi
Rooted to the spot for Reid's free-kick, although he wouldn't have got there anyway. The 'keeper found his heroics were needed once again as he kept out a Long header.
Back in the side after a three-match ban for spitting, the Wigan defence looked more assured at the back for his presence as he kept Long relatively quiet. Was replaced after an hour for Gohouri.
Tried to switch between playing as one of a central three when defending and moving out wide when his side had the ball but at times he found himself out of position trying to track the West Brom strikers and Brunt on the right.
Found things difficult against Thomas on the left to begin with but he soon grew into the game and dealt with the threat much more easily, as well as making a great block on the same player. Was replaced by McArthur in the second half.
A mixed game after being penalised for a foul on Odemwingie which saw Reid open the scoring, but he improved afterwards and made some important blocks when needed.
The driving force in Wigan's midfield, he typified his performance with one run down the left which eventually led to Moses scoring.
Wigan's saviour, first with his well-taken curled effort and then by winning a penalty. Should have squared to Sammon who would have had a good chance of scoring, but Roberto Martinez will not be too critical after this performance.
Took his penalty cooly but was an ineffective force in an attack which, Moses aside, offered little threat.
Played at left full-back and stuck well to his task. Tried to support Moses as much as possible going forward.
Began the game well but faded afterwards and failed to get a grip of the midfield as West Brom pushed for an equaliser.
Left on his own up front, Sammon battled hard and caused McAuley and Olsson some problems. Was unlucky not to be set up by Moses for a good scoring chance.

Came on for Odemwingie but frustrated the crowd by giving the ball away in the Wigan penalty area instead of shooting.
Missed a glorious chance from a free header and then was booked for diving after going down in the area.
Came on for Mulumbu but the decision was widely criticised by the home fans.
