West Bromwich Albion
West Ham United
Phil Dowd's whistle is greeted with a mild round of applause from the home fans. For the Baggies, the draw halts a run of three defeats in a row and sees them in sixth place, but they will feel they should have taken three points from this. Sam Allardyce will be pleased with the way his team are proving difficult to beat despite an over-populated treatment room.

Yellow CardJonas Olsson
90' + 5'
And that's it, full time.
90' + 4'
Free kick to West Ham in their own half and this should be all over.
90' + 3'
West Brom still searching for a winner, but now lacking the intelligence they showed earlier with a more direct approach necessary.
90' + 1'
Into four minutes of added time and Carlton Cole hits an effort down low from the edge of the area, but Myhill is down quickly to stop it.
Approaching added time now...
Rosenberg, with his first real involvement, smashes it low into the wall. A real disappointing effort.
Another free kick to the Baggies, this one right on the edge of the area. Certainly in shooting range.
Jaaskelainen came a long way to get a hand on that one, but he did and cleared well.
Yellow CardJames Tomkins
Free kick to West Brom. Brunt to whip it in...
West Brom are the team really pushing for a winner here, with West Ham seemingly content to sit back and soak up the pressure. We'll see how this pans out with only five minutes to go.
Yellow CardKevin Nolan
Yellow CardYoussouf Mulumbu
Shane Long is replaced, and he doesn't really look happy about it. Then Kevin Nolan and Youssouf Mulumbu have a little tete-a-tete, and both pick up a booking. No-one looks happy about that.
Pinball in the six-yard box as the ball bounces all over the place. West Ham clear it but Cole goes down after seemingly taking a whack to the face - it might have been from the ball itself.
Yet another corner coming up for the Baggies, but not before Guy Demel is replaced by James Tomkins.
Another good clearance by James Collins, this time just as it looks like Lukaku is going to get a header in at goal, the Welshman flies in to nod it away.
Carlton Cole struggles through some challenges to get a shot away but harshly has a free kick given against him. The effort was saved by Myhill anyway, though.
Odemwingie fires another ball across from the left, this one cleared by Collins.
A sub each for the teams, let's see who has the most impact here between Maiga and Lukaku.
Yellow CardBilly Jones
West Brom hit the bar! The corner is whipped in at the front post and Morrison climbs highest but his effort in a crowd of players crashes into the bar and is cleared!
West Ham just holding on a bit at the moment. Odemwingie puts in a great cross that is cleared, before a Mulumbu cross is put behind for a corner.
Penalty shout for the Baggies but it doesn't look like it. Mulumbu flicks the ball on for Brunt, but he can't get to it ahead of Demel, and is on the floor. In fairness to the midfielder, he wasn't claiming it and got on with the game.
Odemwingie dances past Demel twice on his way through. Brunt runs on and feeds Mulumbu, but his shot is blocked. There's a bit of desperation in West Ham's defending, and it falls to Morrison, whose bicycle kick drifts a fair way wide.
Noble whips it into the far post and O'Brien gets on the end of it but his effort flies about a foot over the bar. So close for the Hammers!
West Ham with a free kick in a dangerous area now, after Brunt clattered into Taylor.
Close! Odemwingie fires a great ball across the face of goal but Long just cannot get on the end of it and it's cleared behind for a corner. Zoltan Gera gets a good leap, but can't direct his header underneath the bar.
West Brom look to have gone to more of a 4-3-3 in this half with Gera and Odemwingie more advanced up the pitch.
Zoltan Gera hits an effort from distance that Jaaskelainen beats away. It just about falls to Long, but it's behind him and he hooks an effort towards goal that the keeper pats down from under his crossbar.
From that corner, Reid heads high and wide in front of the near post. You can sense that a goal is coming.
Another chance for West Ham. Jarvis whips a cross in and despite the audible cry of "Keeper's!" from Myhill, it is headed clear by a defender in front of him. It falls to Noble on the edge of the box but he makes a mess of his volley and it eventually falls for a corner.
Matt Taylor should do better there. He's played in down the left on his favoured foot, but drags it wide of the far post.
Some good build-up play from the Baggies, but Odemwingie's shot is high and wide.
The Baggies defence break the first rule of defending and allow the ball to bounce, with Calrton Cole getting on the end of it. Fortunately for them, the striker is forced wide and his cross is cleared.
Jarvis is allowed time to get a cross into the box. Cole chests it down for Nolan, but on the turn he can only screw his half-volley wide.
Collins makes a hash of a clearance and Brunt finds Mulumbu who places a shot wide. A great start to this period of play, with both teams showing an increased tempo.
West Ham's turns to put the pressure on, with the ball bouncing in and around the area. It falls to Jarvis, and he lays it off to O'Neil who curls an effort just past the far post. So close.
Yet another corner for the hosts, McAuley heads it back across goal and Morrison screws his volley wide. A frantic start to the second half.
From the corner, Jaaskelainen gets a little lost and O'Brien is there to clear at the back post for another corner. Zoltan Gera nods the ball back in and Reid accidentally deflects the ball onto his own crossbar and over. Heavy pressure from the Baggies!
West Brom start nicely, getting the ball wide to Odemwingie. The Nigerian zips in a ball along the ground and it gets caught under Winston Reid's feet before he manages to clear for a corner.
And we're off.
The teams are back out for the second half. No changes for either side, so West Ham will get us underway shortly.
So all square at half time, and I wouldn't blame you for wanting to cry into your mince pies. This has not been a great game by any stretch of the imagination, and it will take a real boost in tempo in the second half to recover it. Still, there's always hope.
45' + 2'
But Noble's effort is poor. He whips it straight at Boaz Myhill and it bounces in front of the goalkeeper for good merit. And that's half time.
45' + 1'
Free kick given against Youssouf Mulumbu for handball. Good position to launch the ball into the box for West Ham...
James Morrison goes on a good run and looks to have won a corner, but it has been given as a goal kick. Not much in the way of outrage from the Baggies midfielder though.
The Baggies threaten to break through on goal but Shane Long is offside. It is a bit of a drab match.
A chance for the visitors to get the ball into the box but Taylor fluffs his free kick along the ground. O'Neil tries to find him again out wide but the pass is overhit and drifts out for a goal kick.
West Ham launch the ball forward again, this time through Joey O'Brien, but it is to no-one in particular. This game has lost a little bit of intensity, it is fair to say.
West Ham come close again, Carlton Cole hits a powerful, swerving effort that Myhill can only beat away directly in front of him, and the rebound just evades the on-rushing Kevin Nolan.
Long again turns and shoots, but again it drifts wide. A positive opening half-hour from the striker though.
CHANCE! Corner whipped in to the far post for West Ham, and Collins gets an unmarked header but directs it back across goal where Reid puts it over from six yards on the stretch.
Yellow CardJoey O'Brien
Brunt hits a powerful effort from distance with his right foot, but again it is comfortable for Jaaskelainen.
West Ham respond with an attack of their own. Another long diagonal ball from left to right finds Matt Taylor in behind Popov again, but his header in the direction of Carlton Cole is stopped by Myhill. There wasn't much of a run from Cole there in truth, he gave Taylor a lot to do.
Shane Long turns past Mark Noble on the edge of the box before firing a tentative shot wide of the post with his left foot. A half-chance for the Baggies there.
Morrison has an effort from distance, but he drags it wide for a goal kick.
Both keepers are seeing quite a lot of the ball at the moment, it has not been the most fluid of games so far.
West Ham are looking threatening at the moment. They're getting the ball wide and then into the box with Carlton Cole and Kevin Nolan challenging in the air, but nothing doing just yet.
Kevin Nolan has been off the pitch for a minute or so after his boot split. He's got a spare one though, so will be back on shortly. Not a great advert for his sponsor though!
West Ham look dangerous after Taylor is found from Cole's flick on wide on the right. Matt Jarvis is racing into the box, but Taylor just cannot find him with a pass as Myhill collects well on the ground.
Odemwingie picks up the ball from Gera and launches a powerful effort at goal from distance, but Jaaskelainen saves it pretty comfortably.
Jussi Jaaskelainen is ordered to retake a goal kick after Guy Demel encroaches into the penalty area to collect it. Not a ruling you see very often these days, one for the spotters.
Brunt's free kick is straight into the wall, but the Baggies regain possession and launch another couple of attacks. West Ham are doing well to prevent any real danger so far though.
Free kick in a dangerous position now for the Baggies, with Brunt lining it up from about 25 yards.
The Hammers launch a free kick into the box which is well defended by the hosts, but Winston Reid is staying down after it looked like Billy Jones landed on his ankle. A sore one, but he should be fine to continue.
Odemwingie is looking lively for the hosts, playing in a more central role than usual, with Brunt taking up a left-wing position.
The hosts have started well, but Sam Allardyce's side just launched a great counter, with Mark Noble bringing the ball out from the back. He played Carlton Cole in down the left, who launched a fantastic ball to Matt Taylor in the area, but his header looped onto the top of the net. Some neat play there.
The Baggies have started pretty brightly so far, getting the ball wide well. Winston Reid does really well to head away a dangerous cross from Chris Brunt.
And West Brom kick off.
The players are out and we will be underway shortly.
Just under five minutes from kick-off now and with both teams in pretty patchy form, this should be a festive treat for everyone in the run-up to Christmas.
West Ham United: Jaaskelainen; Demel, Reid, Collins, O'Brien; Taylor, Noble, O'Neil, Nolan, Jarvis; Cole. Subs: Spiegel, Tomkins, Spence, Moncur, Lletget, Maiga.
And up next is the West Ham team for today's game - interesting point though: Sam Allardyce has only selected six substitutes for the match, indicating that the injury problems at Upton Park are quite severe.
Here is the West Brom team to face West Ham: Myhill, Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Popov, Brunt, Morrison, Mulumbu, Gera, Odemwingie, Long. Subs: L Daniels, Dorrans, Rosenberg, Lukaku, Fortune, Tamas, Dawson.
