Spilled an early Sandro shot and was fortunate to see the ball only go out for a corner, but became more confident soon after as he dealt with numerous efforts on his goal.
Another good performance but will becoming frustrated with the number of penalties being given away by his team-mates.
Caught Lennon for the penalty and found the winger difficult to deal with all game. Impressed on his return to the side last week but was outshone this week by Reid.
Put in a great cross for Mulumbu to score, splitting both King and Kaboul with its accuracy and stuck to Bale well, not allowing him to get away too often.
Took a knock early on but came back and threw his body in the way of every shot from the Spurs line-up. Was left stretched at the end.
Continued his form from last week as he caused Walker problems down the Baggies left and will feel like he should have earned his side a penalty when the full-back appeared to bundle him over.
Picked Long out with some nice cross-field balls early on and stayed discipline to help shackle Bale and Assou-Ekotto down the left. Missed a great chance to give his side the lead
Has re-invented himself as a holding midfielder following Scharner's injury and he has continued to show improvement. The Spurs duo of Parker and Sandro found it hard to get past him on their forays forward and he set up two great chances going forward.
Showed his intention with an early run and pass that almost set Long free, before showing off his attacking ambition by driving into the Spurs box to head home. He has been critical of his own performances this season but this was him at his best. Drew numerous fouls from his driving runs and after skinning Scott Parker he was only denied by the feet of Friedel.
Troubled Kaboul with his pace and strength, but became more isolated as the game went on. Fell a bit too easily in the area after tangling with King.
Had started the game well again, setting up Reid in the build up to the West Brom goal, but he twisted his ankle half-way through the first-half and had to come off for.
Was left rooted by Mulumbu's header and was worried when he thought he might have taken a deflected Reid cross over his own line. Dealt with everything else well though.
Found the going difficult at times as Mulumbu and Cox both had free headers against him, but proved better in one-on-one situations. Headed wide from a corner.
Was praised after the win over Villa but struggled at times against Long and did not pick up Mulumbu as he opened the scoring. Fortunate not to slice into his own net.
An average performance from the left-back as he failed to shine going forward or at the back, but looked the most assured of his side's defenders.
Impressive as always going forward, he will count himself lucky not to have given away a penalty for a foul on Thomas. Looked troubled at the back most of the game.
Was kept quiet for most of the match, but when it mattered he made the run to win the penalty.
Came in for Modric and was never going to be as good as the Croatian, but still he will feel a little disappointed by his performance. Was perhaps fortunate not to get a second booking in the first-half for a foul on Mulumbu.
Making his 300th Premier League appearance, he looked off the pace in the first-half and was skinned easily by Mulumbu as he burst into the box. Was back to his best in the second-half as he oozed class with his passing.
A man with a point to prove, Defoe was a livewire all match and was not afraid to try his luck from range. Proved even sharper in the second-half and got his deserved goal with some individual brilliance.
A mixed performance from the Togolese. Set up Lennon for the penalty with a back-heel which he scored at the second attempt. Caused the West Brom back-line problems all match but missed a number of sitters before sealing the win.
Was quiet in the first-half but found more space when moved to the right and set up the final goal, but should have scored himself. Still, this was far from his brilliant best.
- 13 M. Fülöp
- 28 B. Jones
Came on late and tried to cause Spurs some problems but was unable to deliver a quality cross into the area.
- 33 P. Scharner
- 17 G. Dorrans
Was introduced for Long but failed to take his chance to score at the end.
Spent plenty of the match on the pitch but did not trouble the Spurs back-line much and planted a free header at Friedel.
