Started off confidently as he came and collected a few early crosses but he messed up two attempted punches, the first of which he did well to recover from as he saved Rodwell's follow-up. Could not prevent Anichebe from scoring the winner late on.
Making his home debut after injury hit Jonas Olsson, he matched McAuley's performance by keeping Cahill quiet and put in a couple of excellent blocks in the second-half when Everton threatened to score. Another West Brom defender to come seamlessly into the side.
Was without his normal central partner but he coped well and kept a shackle on Saha who had little support up front.
Possibly the quietest afternoon he has ever had with Everton failing to venture down his side when they could help it. Headed one difficult chance wide in the first-half in a rare venture forward.
Slotted in brilliantly at right-back against Manchester City and continued that with another assured display here; tight in defence and decent going forward - it might be difficult for Steven Reid to get his place back when he is fit.
Making his 50th appearance for the Baggies the Austrian was given a good hand before the match and it was easy to see why as he marshalled the midfield and passed the ball around effortlessly. But his poor header set up Anichebe to score the winner and consign his side to defeat.
Ended 2011 in excellent form but started this match on the right and never got enough chances to run at Baines. When he did he used his opportunity to drive at the Everton defence but they coped well with his threat.
Brought straight back into the starting line-up for the injured Mulumbu - having himself come back from injury - he found his groove instantly but gave away a few too many free-kicks which put his side in danger to the Baines delivery. Got forward more after the break but could not fashion a breakthrough.
Unusually placed on the right, he found himself coming into the middle to tighten things up but he played the pass of the match with an excellent cross to Long which saw him with a free header in the Everton area.
Strong in holding up the ball in an advanced position with Odemwingie dropping deeper but failed to take his free header in a game of few chances. Looks like he needs another goal have a slight barren spell recently.
Had found his scoring touch with two goals in his last three matches but kept coming deep and could not get into the game at all with Everton playing two defensive midfielders. Sent through on goal in the second-half he blazed over terribly.
Will not remember having an easier first-half in his life as he had almost no touches of the ball and things did not get much more difficult in the second as West Brom failed to test him.
Looked comfortable in the first-half but lost track of Odemwingie at the start of the second and was fortunate to see him blaze over. Scooped one effort over himself when forward.
Given the freedom to get forward the left-back often looked the away side's best attacking threat whether cutting in down the middle or trying to get wide and put the ball into the box. His set-pieces caused the West Brom back-line problems and saw chances fall for Osman and Rodwell. Received a yellow for tripping Long when the striker was on the attack.
Alongside Neville in midfield there wasn't a lot on offer with some side-way passes being the best he could manage albeit he rarely gave the ball away. One good challenge on Thomas prevented him from getting a shot out when in the area.
One terrific challenge stopped a surging Thomas run as he waltzed into the Everton penalty area although he too failed to stop Odemwingie when he surged in on goal.
A fairly easy afternoon with almost no West Brom attacking play down his side. Did what he had to do well and got forward to provide the cross which eventually saw Anichebe score.
Back in the side after a month out but looked comfortable in possession on his return and got forward to support the attacks with one shot forcing a good save from Foster after he had spilled the initial cross and another header drifting wide from a corner. Came off early in the second-half.
Playing a similar role to Scharner, the Everton captain was an excellent defensive foil and he moved the ball around quickly from one side to the other as the Toffees kept tight control of the ball.
Another one to end 2011 on a high but was not given much of a chance to shine in this match with West Brom keeping a tight line and most of the play coming down the left.
Playing behind Saha it was another difficult match for Cahill as he failed to find space in the West Brom half to cause any damage and he never managed to test Foster during the match. One horrible sliced cross pretty much summed up his game.
Isolated up front and with nothing to run on to he was left looking for scraps in the area but when his chance came in the first-half he sliced wide from inside the area when in a good position to score.

Thrown up front mid-way through the second-half but did little better than Saha before him.
Given the majority of the second-half to find his side a goal and tried his luck immediately but his shot from distance went harmlessly wide and his next gave Foster a routine save.
- 14 J. McFadden
Came on at the same time as Stracqualursi and his intervention made the difference as he buried his one chance to seal the three points.
