  • 90' + 5'
Full time! And it's over! Wales secure their first victory of the campaign, and it is a first win for manager Chris Coleman too. Gareth Bale made the difference on the night, after a promising start from the visitors. Scotland face high-flying Belgium next, so the pressure is on for Craig Levein's side.
  • 90' + 4'
Chance for Scotland!! Will this be the last of the match? Charlie Adam crosses from the right and Kenny Miller attempts a glancing header which heads hopelessly wide. One minute of stoppage time remaining!
  • 90' + 3'
Scotland have pushed a lot of men forwards in search of a way back into this match. Fox lofts the ball in to Fletcher, who knocks it down to Mackie. But the QPR midfielder can't quite get the ball under control.
  • 90' + 1'
Bales' sixth goal in seven games for Wales. And he's on the ball again, deep in the Scotland half. He feeds the ball to Ramsey, but the Arsenal man fouls D. Fletcher. McGregor hits the ball deep.
  • 87'
    Assist David Vaughan
  • 87'
    Goal Gareth Bale
GOOOAAAALLL!!! And it's gone to Wales and that man Gareth Bale again. Bale is brought down by Adam on the half-way line. The free-kick is taken short to the winger, who dribbles a good ten yards before cracking an incredible shot from all of 25 yards into the top corner. Absolutely nothing McGregor could have done about that.
  • 87'
Another controversial decision from the referee, as Alan Hutton appears to be blocked off but is told to get to his feet.
  • 85'
A sign of intent from Craig Levein, as he sends on striker Kenny Miller in place of midfielder James Morrison. Jamie Mackie replaces Kris Commons.

The Wales fans have found their voices, as a chorus of 'you're not singing anymore' rings around the stadium. The hosts are trying to stay calm in possession, but are getting caught a little deep at times and the visitors have managed to win a corner. It comes to nothing, however, as the referee spots a foul.
  • 82'
This is shaping up to be an exciting final ten minutes, as a draw will not be ideal for either side! The crowd are willing their sides on.
  • 81'
    Penalty Goal Gareth Bale
GOAL FOR WALES! Bale shows nerves of steel to casually send McGregor the wrong way. Wales 1-1 Scotland here in Cardiff, as the rain begins to flood down onto the pitch!
  • 80'
PENALTY! Bale gets across Maloney and goes down! There appeared to be slight contact from Maloney, so it looks like the correct decision. Bale takes the ball from Ramsey and places it on the spot...
  • 79'
It's cleared by Maloney, but Wales are back in possession in the Scotland half. The visitors eventually force the ball out for a throw-in. Jamie Mackie is warming up on the touchline.
  • 78'
Wales piling on the pressure here! A corner leads to a goal-mouth scramble, which McGregor just manages to clear. Welsh corner...
  • 75'
CHANCE! Charlie Adam plays a fantastic ball in to S. Fletcher at the far post. The in-form striker nods it in but the goal is disallowed. Adam's ball appeared to drift out of play before it reached Fletcher.
  • 74'
    Yellow Card Joe Allen
  • 73'
Joe Allen picks up a booking as he takes down James Morrison near the centre circle. It was a tackle the Liverpool man had to make, as Morrison was racing towards the Welsh goal.
  • 72'
    SubstitutionJoe Ledley Hal Robson-Kanu
  • 72'
Scotland can sense that the points are at risk here and are trying to control the pace of the game. But the Welsh are closing well and manage to re-gain possession.
  • 72'
Joe Ledley makes way for Reading's Robson-Kanu for the Welsh.
  • 71'
Another fantastic piece of play from Bale, as he picks up the ball on the right-hand side of the Scottish penalty area. He turns two players inside out before firing wide of the far post. Promising stuff for the Welsh.
  • 69'
Chance!! A clearance from the Welsh defence sets Ramsey clear of the Scottish defence. He has Bale square, but opts to wait for McGregor to come before attempting to chip the ball over the on-rushing goalkeeper., but fires wide of the target
  • 67'
This game is on a knife-edge! Mistake from the Welsh midfield and Morrison is in with Fletcher square. The West Brom man opts to go alone and Price makes the save.
  • 66'
    SubstitutionSteve Morison Craig Martin Davies
  • 65'
A second penalty shout in quick succession for the Welsh, as Berra makes a dubious looking challenge in clear sight of the referee. No penalty given!
  • 64'
Chance! Bale beats two men down the right hand side, before cutting back to Ramsey. Charlie Adam makes a challenge and the Welshman goes down. The referee waves away the protests: no penalty.
  • 63'
    Yellow Card Aaron Ramsey
  • 62'
And it's bad news for Ramsey. He's had a frustrating game so far and has taken his aggression out on the opposition with a late challenge. He will now miss Wales' match against Croatia on Tuesday.
  • 60'
Bale picks up the ball in the centre and beats two men before feeding Joe Ledley down the left. The Celtic man finds Ramsey, who claims a corner as the ball rolls out of play. The referee awards Scotland a goal kick, which seems to wake the Welsh fans up. This game is still there for the taking!
  • 58'
The Welshman is back on his feet, but still appears to be struggling as play continues with the Welsh in possession deep in the Scottish half. Vaughan attempts to find Bale, but the pass is too long for the winger and rolls out for a goal kick.
  • 56'
Blake is on the ground for the hosts, and appeared to go down with no contact from an opponent. It looks like a twisted knee for the Welshman, although he may be able to continue.
  • 55'
Another great bit of play from Bale, who aims to find Ledley in the box before Berra gets across to clear. Ramsey takes the corner, but again fails to find a teammate.
  • 53'
    Yellow Card Gareth Bale
  • 53'
Soft penalty appeal from the Welsh fans, as Ramsey goes past Maloney and into the box before going down. Replays seem to show the Welshman tripping, as opposed to being fouled by the Scot. Good call from the referee.
  • 52'
Bale troubles the Scots' defence, with a strong 30-yard run in possession before a tackle is finally made. The resulting corner comes to nothing for the hosts.
  • 50'
Chance for Scotland! A great pass from Charlie Adam sets Alan Hutton away down the right. His delivery is aimed at Fletcher, but Price manages to get a hand to it before the striker can nod home.
  • 48'
Bale is involved straight away, as Fox is adjudged to have blocked him off by the German referee. The Welshman takes the free kick himself, but his delivery is poor and is easily cleared.
  • 47'
It doesn't look as though the Scotland shape has changed after that substitution, as Adam slots in next to D. Fletcher in the holding midfield role. We are told that Brown has been taken off as a precaution due to his recent recovery from a hip injury.
  • 46'
    SubstitutionScott Brown Charlie Adam
  • 46'
Wales get the second half underway in Cardiff!
  • Change for the visitors, as Brown is replaced by Charlie Adam in midfield.
  • A quick reminder for those of you that aren't aware - Blake, Williams and Ramsey will all miss Wales' next fixture with Croatia on Tuesday if they pick up a booking tonight. The Scots, in contrast, don't currently have anyone at risk of suspension.
  • Keep the tweets coming in @alfiemeekings. Who do you think has made the difference in the first half? Who is the one to watch in the second? Let me know your thoughts.
  • Join us for what promises to be a nail-biting second half in Cardiff, as both sides are desperate for their first win in Group A.
  • Half-time at Cardiff City stadium, and it's Wales 0-1 Scotland! Both teams have had some fantastic chances during the first half, with Morrison's clinical strike separating the sides. Steven Fletcher has made the real difference so far, but we have seen glimpses of Bale for the Welsh, who will be hoping to get him on the ball more during the second half.
  • 45' + 1'
Corner for Scotland, as Caldwell launches the ball up field towards Fletcher and Williams clears. However, Commons' corner is beats everybody and floats out harmlessly for a goal kick.
  • 44'
Chance for Scotland! A quick throw sets Hutton away down the right. He finds Steven Fletcher at the back post, who manages to nod it down to Morrison. The ball bounces awkwardly for the midfielder, and he fails to keep his shot down.
  • 42'
Chance!! Great play from Bale, as he beats Fox and Maloney down the right before cutting the ball back to Ramsey, who's shot goes over the bar. You can't help but feel that if Wales are to get back in this, it will be through Bale.
  • 40'
Wales manage to put some pressure on the Scots, as Ramsey and Davies exchange passes. Ramsey eventually tries to play an incisive ball along the floor, but it's intercepted by Caldwell.
  • 39'
Chance for Scotland! Maloney feeds Fox down the left hand side. The left-back's cross manages to find S. Fletcher in the middle, but the Sunderland striker mis-kicks and the ball rolls into the hands of Price.
  • 36'
Miles over from the Spurs man. He scored from a similar distance against Serbia - around 30 yards - but cannot keep this one down.
  • 35'
    Yellow Card Gary Caldwell
  • 35'
Booking for Caldwell. Joe Ledley does fantastically to lift the ball past the defender, who leaves a leg out and brings down the Celtic midfielder. Up steps Bale...
  • 34'
Half-chance for Wales, as Allen pops up in the Scotland penalty area with the ball. He tries to lay it off to Ramsey on the edge of the box, but his pass is intercepted and the Scots clear.
  • 31'
Commons cuts inside onto his favoured left foot and tries to test Price. He slices his shot, but it almost finds S. Fletcher at the far post. The Sunderland forward stretches but the ball just eludes him.
  • 28'
    Assist Steven Fletcher
  • 28'
    Goal James Morrison
GOAL! Seconds after Wales could have gone ahead, Morrison scores for Scotland! A great flick on by Fletcher, who beats Williams to the header. Nobody tracks Morrison who finishes confidently with his first touch.
  • 27'
CHANCE for Wales! Agonisingly close from Morison! Bale beats Fox for pace before putting a ball in to the back post. Morison beats Hutton to the ball but headers over.
  • 26'
Scotland are finding it hard to move the ball here, as the Welsh defence push up and make the pitch very small for the visitors. Caldwell searches for an option but is forced back to the goalkeeper.
  • 24'
Chane for Wales! Incredible play from Joe Allen, as he dispossesses Kris Commons, releases the ball to Vaughan and races up the wing for the return. He cleverly jinks in side the defender before having his shot blocked. Better from the hosts.
  • 22'
Possession changing hands quickly in Cardiff, as both sides are opting to play a long ball instead of going through the midfield. Fletcher has been more successful than Morison in the air, but neither look like scoring from such chances.
  • 19'
The Welsh bounce straight back with a strong attack, as Ashley Williams plays a great ball to set Aaron Ramsey away on the wing. The former Welsh captain tried to put Joe Ledley through on goal, but Caldwell read the pass and intercepted.
  • 17'
Free-kick to the Scots on the right hand side of the Wales penalty area, as Kris Commons is brought down. He whips in a cross to the far post but the flag is up for offside.
  • 14'
Wales throw deep inside the Scottish half, but the hosts are unable to make much of it as they are hassled by the Scottish defence. Some good closing from the visitors here, leaving the home side with no time on the ball.
  • 11'
Huge chance for Wales! Bale gets in behind Fox on the right and cuts in on his favoured left foot. Berra tries to close the Spurs man, before he unleashes a shot inches wide of the post.
  • 8'
First shot for the Welsh, as Bale takes the ball on his chest before unleashing a strike towards goal from around the 30-yard mark. The ball floats harmlessly over McGregor's crossbar.
  • 7'
End-to-end stuff at the moment, but neither side have managed to produce a final ball so far. The Welsh are opting for long balls to Morison, but the Norwich City man is yet to win a header.
  • 4'
Corner to the visitors, as Berra clears a Hutton cross under plenty of pressure. Ramsey manages to clear, however, and Wales break.
  • 2'
Early pressure from the away side, as Maloney pops up on the left and cuts inside dangerously. Unfortunately for the Scots, he can't find a teammate with his cross.
  • 1'
Scotland, playing in white, get the action underway!
  • The players are on the pitch in Cardiff, as the Scottish national anthem is bellowed around the stadium. You wouldn't know this fixture was in Wales, as the Tartan Army continue to sing throughout the Welsh anthem. The stage is set for a thrilling encounter!

  • There is also plenty of excitement amongst the Scotland fans, as Steven Fletcher starts for his country for the first time in two years. Captain Darren Fletcher also returns to Craig Levein’s side after spending almost a year on the sidelines through injury.
  • One or two surprises for the hosts, as Lewis Price starts in goal in the absence of Boaz Myhill and Wayne Hennessey, who are both sidelined through injury. Swansea City youngster Ben Davies has been handed his first cap in defence, replacing the injured Adam Matthews.
