FULL TIME. TOTTENHAM 1-0 FULHAM. Bale's first half goal is enough to give Spurs three points in a fairly drab game at White Hart Lane. Fulham threatened an equaliser but in all honesty Spurs were always comfortable. Tottenham leapfrog Chelsea back into the Champions League places, and sit just five points off the top of the league.
  • 90' + 2'
Just wide from Jermaine Jenas! Fulham should be the team pushing forward for a goal in stoppage time but Spurs are hungry for more. The substitute cuts inside and tries to curl an effort into the far corner, but his effort goes a foot wide of the post. Seconds left now.
  • 90'
Spurs come forward again through Luka Modric and the Croatian gets a shot away only to see his effort go well wide of Schwarzer's right hand post. Three minutes of stoppage time added on, Spurs look set to add another three points to their already impressive points tally this season.
  • 87'
    Yellow Card Benoit Assou-Ekotto
  • 86'
That's really selfish play from Aaron Lennon! Spurs should be home and dry. Spurs' number 7 sprints forward and has support from Crouch and Bale who are both screaming at Lennon to roll them in clean on goal, but Lennon's head is firmly down and greedily goes for goal himself, and he fires a poor shot over the bar. The fans are furious, and so they should be.
  • 85'
Spurs are fighting for their lives at the back, throwing themselves at every Fulham cross and shot. Fulham's second half play merits an equaliser, but with Dawson and Gallas battling like this I don't see a way through for the Cottagers!
  • 83'
Substitution Rafael van der Vaart Jermaine Jenas
  • 82'
    Substitution Damien Duff Zoltán Gera
  • 82'
Johnson is sent tumbling by Corluka as Fulham look for an equaliser. End to end stuff now at the Lane.
  • 79'
Crouch's introduction has really brought Spurs back to life. The big man nods down Van Der Vaart's corner into the path of Dawson, who like Bale, can't keep his shot down and fires a snap shot well over.
  • 76'
Just as I say they don't look like scoring, Spurs should have extended their lead! With their first real chance of the second half, Corluka gets to the bye-line down the right hand side and crosses the ball into the box, the ball eludes Van Der Vaart but is met on the run by Bale who swings his right-foot at it and blazes the ball over the bar. If that was on his stronger left-foot it would have been two, a good effort but the Welshman knows he could have done better!
  • 74'
Fulham seem to have ran out of steam in the last few minutes after their great spell where they really should have scored. Spurs themselves don't look like adding to their lead so it's going to be a nervy last fifteen minutes for Spurs fans as a win would take them into the top four.
  • 71'
William Gallas is struggling. The Frenchman holds his hamstring and needs treatment. Instead of being substituted the defender has his leg taped up and is going to try and soldier through the last twenty minutes.
  • 68'
Harry Redknapp recognises Fulham's pressure and his need to refresh his tiring Spurs side, so he brings on Peter Crouch for Pavlyuchenko to give Hangeland a rough ride in the last twenty-five minutes.
  • 66'
    Substitution Roman Pavlyuchenko Peter Crouch
  • 66'
Fulham are having their best spell of the game, with sharp passes in and around Spurs' penalty area. Johnson again finds space to get a shot away but his effort is tame and goes straight at Gomes, who doesn't pick the ball up straight away, signalling to his fellow players to calm down and take a breather from relentless Fulham pressure.
  • 63'
So close to a Fulham leveller! Johnson does so well to find enough space to get a shot away on goal and his left footed shot goes across goal and looks destined for the bottom corner, but Gomes dives and gets a strong hand on the ball to parry it, however his parry goes straight to Dawson who is running towards his own goal, and the defender does very well not to score an own goal by scrambling the ball clear. Fulham fans and players are wondering how they're not level!
  • 59'
Superb link up play between Bale and Lennon leaves Lennon roaming into the Fulham penalty area, and just as the tricky winger is about to fizz the ball across goal Murphy comes across with a fantastic recovery challenge to give Spurs a corner. The resultant corner comes to nothing though as Van Der Vaart's delivery eludes everyone and drifts out for a goal kick.
  • 56'
The ball falls to Fulham captain Danny Murphy on the edge of the penalty area and the former Liverpool man attempts a volley but doesn't connect well with the ball at all and hits it into the ground and drags his shot horribly wide.
  • 53'
A wonderful sixty yard ball from Chris Baird is superbly controlled by Duff, but the Irishman can't keep his shot down on his weaker foot and fires the ball high and wide of Gomes' post. Fulham's best chance of the game by far!
  • 51'
Absolutely stunning play from Van Der Vaart. The Spurs star looks to be on a road to nowhere as he reaches the bye-line surrounded by Fulham defenders, but he nutmegs one man and toe pokes the ball across the six yard box but nobody is their to tap the ball home. Worryingly for Spurs Van Der Vaart was caught on the ankle when crossing the ball, he's limping but he should be ok.
  • 49'
Positive start from Fulham as Gomes is forced ito claim a cross from Damien Duff.
  • 46'
Back underway here at White Hart Lane. No changes for either side at half-time.
  • 45'
HALF TIME. TOTTENHAM 1-0 FULHAM. In a fairly dire first half it's Gareth Bale's goal just before half-time that separates the two sides. Let's hope the second half is a little more entertaining!
  • 42'
    Assist Rafael van der Vaart
  • 42'
    Goal Gareth Bale
  • 42'
GOAL!!! TOTTENHAM!!! BALE!!! TOTTENHAM 1-0 FULHAM. It's been coming in the last few minutes and thanks to Gareth Bale's superb improvisation Spurs have the lead. Van Der Vaart is trying to score himself with a free-kick, but the ball is fired at Bale who gets his head to the ball and flicks it towards goal and into the back of the net via the underside of the crossbar. Great goal and Spurs just about deserve it.
  • 38'
Spurs are really pushing Fulham now and you can sense that an opening goal isn't far away!
  • 35'
Another effort from distance for Spurs. This time it's Pavlyuchenko for Spurs who looks to smash an effort home from just outside the box but his connection is poor and Schwarzer makes an awkard looking, but comfortable save.
  • 32'
That's a bit more like it as we have the first shot on target of the match. Benoit Assou-Ekotto tries his luck from all of 35 yards which causes Mark Schwarzer to dive low down to his left to parry the ball away. An unexpected effort from Assou-Ekotto and the Spurs fans enjoyed that!
  • 29'
The atmosphere here at White Hart Lane is subdued to say the least as both sets of players really need to do something to bring this game to life!
  • 27'
    Substitution Alan Hutton Vedran Corluka
  • 26'
Spurs are forced into an early change as Alan Hutton hobbles off to be replaced by Croatian defender Vedran Corluka.
  • 25'
    Yellow Card Michael Dawson
  • 23'
Fulham win a free-kick inside the Spurs half after Dawson fouls Dempsey. Dawson is booked and is furious with the decision. Replays show that Dempsey went down under no contact so Dawson's anger is very understandable! The resulting free-kick comes to nothing as Gomes' punches the ball clear.
  • 20'
First decent effort from Fulham as Clint Dempsey fires a left-footed shot towards the bottom right-hand corner from outside the box, but the American can't find the target and his shot drifts wide of Gomes' left-hand post.
  • 18'
    Yellow Card John Pantsil
  • 17'
An unhappy Pavlyuchenko can't believe his luck when he looks to be clean through on goal after shrugging off a challenge from Hangeland, however Mike Jones deems Pavlyuchenko fouled the Fulham centre-back and a free-kick was awarded.
  • 14'
Really not much to say about this game at the moment as both sides are having spells of possession without threatening the opposition goal. If ever a game needed a goal this is it!
  • 11'
Quite a cagey affair so far! Neither side have managed to get into any real rhythm so far, Tottenham do look the most likely to open the scoring but Fulham are keeping the ball well.
  • 8'
The lively Gareth Bale makes a trademark run down the left hand side and whips in a cross looking for Roman Pavlyuchenko, he finds him, but the Russian can't get the ball under control and the chance is gone.
  • 6'
First opportunity of the match goes to Spurs as Rafael Van Der Vaart is fouled by Brede Hangeland. The Dutchman picks himself up to take the free-kick himself but his effort is very poor by his high standards as he hits the wall.
  • 3'
Quiet start here at the Lane. Spurs are beginning to gain control though keeping possession well and trying to push forward whenever possible.
