Could do nothing about Terry's goal but produced a fine save to deny Schurlle when the German raced through on goal.
Lost track of Hazard a couple of times in the first-half but generally solid defensively and linked up well with Townsend.
Involved in a fierce battle with Torres throughout the game. Strong in the challenge and made some crucial interceptions. Booked for a poor late challenge on Ramires.
Comfortable in the air and in possession, but the Spurs captain looked shaky on the turn against the ball in behind and was targeted by Chelsea in the second-half.
May have looked like Tottenham's weak link but handled the occasion well enough, although he offered very little threat in attack.
Troubled Chelsea with his lively running, change of direction and pace. More intelligent end product than in recent weeks but booked for a poor dive in the first-half.
Class act in midfield, especially in the first-half, as he orchestrated the home team's play. Wonderful turn and pass in the build-up to Sigurdsson's goal but tired after the break and was replaced by Holtby.
Looks the complete midfielder with his pressing off the ball and energy in possession. Protected his defence well and made well-timed forward runs - one of which ended with a shot hitting the post.
The Belgian showed great physical strength on and off the ball as Spurs controlled the midfield for much of the game. Excellent dribbling ability but perhaps held on to the ball too long at times.
Scored his third goal of the season to put Tottenham ahead in the 19th minute with a clever run and classy finish under pressure. Good tactical performance and always a goal threat with his positioning in the final third and his shooting ability.
Confident performance from the Blues goalkeeper as he showed solid handling when called upon.
The Serbian was Chelsea's best defender. Strong in the challenge, made one crucial last-ditch clearance and tried to get forward.

Coped well on the whole with Soldado. Read the game well, making good interceptions and, as always, was comfortable on the ball.
The England left-back found it difficult up against Townsend's speed and trickery. Improved in the second-half, as did the rest of the away team.
Very lively early on of the left touchline but waned quickly and failed to influence the game in the final third before being replaced by Schurrle in the 69th minute.
J. Obi Mikel
A very poor display in the holding role as he failed to provide protection for the back four and made no impact in possession. Substituted at half-time.
Energetic in midfield and gave Chelsea control in the second-half after switching from the right in to a more central role.
On the fringes for much of the game but kept the visitors ticking in a deep-lying midfield role with his accurate passing and constant availability for the ball.
Bright performance from the Brazilian as he drifted across the pitch and looked to feed Torres. Maybe struggled to cope a little physically in the first-half.
The Spaniard looked very lively as the spearhead of Chelsea's attack before his was sent-off somewhat unfortunately, receiving a second booking for an innocuous challenge on Vertonghen.
Replaced Eriksen with 20 minutes to play. Some nice touches but lacked the subtlety of the Dane.

Came on for Soldado in the 77th minute and looked to get involved with potshots from around the edge of the penalty area.
Came on for Oscar in the 83rd minute after Torres' red card.
Replaced Hazard in the 69th minute and had a chance to win it for the visitors but was thwarted by Lloris when he went through on goal.
The much-discussed Spaniard replaced Mikel at half-time and made his point to Jose Mourinho with an excellent free-kick for Terry's goal and some incisive passing.
