The Swans are coming off the back of two consecutive defeats, but will welcome back Steven Caulker, after the centre-back was ineligible against parent-club Spurs on Sunday.

Nathan Dyer is all set for a return to the starting XI after playing 20 minutes against Spurs.

Swansea almost have a full squad to choose from, with only Frerrie Bodde (knee) and Kemy Agustien (ankle) missing.

Newcastle are likely to include Davide Santon at left-back which will allow Jonas Gutierrez to return to midfield. Danny Guthrie could miss out with a knock, sustained against Liverpool on Sunday.

They are still without Fabricio Coloccini (hamstring), Leon Best (knee ligaments), Peter Lovenkrands (thigh) and long-term absentee Steven Taylor (Achilles).

The on-loan Hoffenheim midfielder has scored six times in his last eight appearances for the Swans. The Icelandic international picks up some great positions in and around the box and possesses a powerful shot with either foot.

He has also shown his accuracy from set-pieces this season and Newcastle will look to prevent him getting the ball in any kind of space within 25-yards of the goal.

D. Ba

Position: Attacker

Since joining from SC Freiburg, the Senegalese striker has score seven goals in seven games, also notching both goals in the 2-0 win over Liverpool on Sunday, showcasing his finishing ability.

Cisse leads the line very well can is strong to enough to hold up the ball in Newcastle play it long. He can also link play, and given any sniff of goal, he will surely punish the home team.

Editor's Prediction

Swansea will probably dominate possession, but they have proved they are susceptible to the counter-attack. The Magpies are dangerous on the break and if they get the first goal they could run away with it but Brendan Rodgers will be looking for an improvement from the home side after successive defeats, and they should give him it.
