Didn't have an awful lot to do in the first half as Swansea dominated the ball and it didn't get any busier after the break. The Dutchman won't have many easier nights than tonight.
An excellent performance from the full-back who overlapped Routledge on countless occasions with good end product more often than not too.
A solid debut in the heart of Swansea's defence and almost scored an early goal. His positional play was sound all night and he didn't shy away from any of the physical challenges either.
Nearly gave away a penalty in the second half but saw the referee blow for a dive rather than a foul. Had a quiet first half offensively but loosened the shackles as Swansea ran riot after the break.
Superb performance from the Arsenal target. Calm and confident in possession, he also read the danger well on the few occasions when Malmo threatened in the final third.
Drifted inside as Ben Davies continually offered his help on the overlap. Had one or two opportunities in the first half but struggled to really make an impact in the final third.
An impressive debut from the former Liverpool man. Seemed liberated in his midfield role spraying passes out to either flank with swagger and accuracy. Did his best to get a goal after the break but missed the target a few times with Dahlin also making some fine stops.
Another understated performance from the little midfield man. Kept it short, simple and accurate allowing the hosts to keep up an impressive tempo throughout the match.
Was deployed in a deeper role than usual with the arrival of Wilfried Bony but continued his exceptional goalscoring form for the Swans with a fine finish following a defender's slip. Showed some signs of a growing understanding with the new striker and had a hand in the Ivorian's second goal.
Looked very sharp in the opening stages and had the first real chance of the game with a vicious shot from a tight angle following a fine touch. Saw plenty of the ball in the second half but was perhaps a bit too casual.
An impressive debut from the striker showing plenty of neat and clever touches to link up play in the first half without ever getting a proper chance. He got his deserved goal after the break with a superb header before grabbing another from a rebound moments later. Looked on the same wavelength as Michu.
Made a fine save to deny Dyer a first-half goal but was left exposed by his defenders moments later as Michu slotted in the opener. Not a lot he could do as the Swans added three more in the second half.
Made a number of brave blocks and challenges as Swansea came forward in numbers but his efforts were in vain as the hosts carved through Malmo's backline time and time again.
Didn't have it quite as bad as Albornoz but suffered as Angel and Dyer doubled up on him on the flank. He did venture forward with some success at times though.
Had very little joy going forward throughout the match and struggled with the combination of Davies and Routledge coming the other way. A difficult examination for the right-back, who got worse as the match went on.
Made a reasonable start to the game against Bony but was really unfortunate to slip in the build-up to Michu's goal. Run ragged by Michu, Bony and company in the second half.
A decent performance from the young midfielder who kept possession well when he had it but never managed to drive his side forward and was a bit slow in tracking back once Swansea started putting their foot on the gas.
Did the most defensive work out of Malmo's midfield four and was kept very busy all night. Tried to keep tabs on Michu and Shelvey's forward runs but didn't know if he was coming or going at times.
Frustrating night for the midfielder as he hardly got on the ball for the hosts. His main contribution came when he broke up some of Swansea's passing patterns with niggly fouls.
Most of Malmo's possession went through him but he was guilty of wasting the visitor's best chance of the first half. Should have hit the target with his two opportunities.
Came deep to collect the ball throughout the match and struggled to turn and get at the Swans' defence. He did manage it once but went down in the area under very little contact and earned himself a booking. Disappointing after his exploits in the last round.
Malmo's best player on the night, he ran the channels with real enthusiasm and showed the ability to beat a man on several occasions. Probably didn't deserve to be on the losing side.

Came on midway through the second half to refresh the Swansea midfield and add a bit of defensive steal with the Swans defending a lead.
Came on as a second half substitute and looked really lively as soon as he stepped on the pitch for his debut. Flashed a shot from the edge of the area just wide of the post before sealing a debut goal moments later. A fantastic touch on his chest set him up a controlled finish to wrap up the scoring.
