That's just about all from me, Ryan Bailey, this afternoon but thanks for for joining me and until next time, goodbye!
Well in the end both sides have to settle for a point on a frustrating afternoon for City, who just failed to show any spark in the final third. Stoke had chances to break the deadlock but Walters and Jones were unable to make them count. Hughes is now four matches unbeaten in all competitions.
FULL-TIME! And that's it, Manchester City's win less run at the Britannia Stadium goes on as they draw a blank against Mark Hughes' well-organised side.
LAST CHANCE! Ireland helps the ball on to Arnautovic, who curls a speculative effort just over the crossbar to the anguish of the home fans.
For the first-time this afternoon, Stoke just hanging on here as City peg the hosts back as we enter the final sixty seconds...
NEEDLESS! Huth is livid as he concedes a corner attempting to shepherd the ball out under pressure from Milner. When the cross comes in Negredo attempts to connect with a volley at the far post, but off-balance gets his effort all wrong as the ball trickles behind for a goal kick.
YELLOW! Cameron does well to stick with Aguero but his hard work is then undone by Walters, who brings down Toure to give away a free kick, with a booking following soon after.
STAT! Man City's last striker to score a league goal at the Britannia Stadium was Shaun Goater (May 1998).
90' + 2'
Yellow Card Jonathan Walters
SIX MINUTES! A late chance for Stoke as Crouch wins a free-kick just outside the area but after much deliberation, Arnautovic smashes well over. The fourth official emerges to indicate six minutes of additional time!
Stoke get a late chance to smash forward as Negredo concedes a foul. Eventually Cameron loops into the danger zone, but Ireland is caught in two minds and scoops a harmless chip straight through to a grateful Hart.
We've just entered a bit of a lull in proceedings here as the ninety minute mark draws ever closer. Can either side muster an opportunity to snatch all three points?
The big German centre-back is thankfully alright to continue and replays suggest he got a knee to the back. After a bit of treatment, he is giving the signal to return by the official.
OUCH! Huth is flattened by his goalkeeper as Begovic comes to collect ahead of Negredo. Stoke have made all three changes so Mark Hughes will be anxiously looking on.
Jones goes down holding his ankle and looks set to be replaced despite the attention of the trainer. Peter Crouch replaces the former Sunderland man for the last ten minutes.
Jesús Navas González
SUBSTITUTION Pellegrini introduces Navas in place of the very quiet Nasri
SAVE! Another wonderful opportunity for the hosts as Hart makes a superb last-ditch save. A speculative effort deflects off Nasatasic and is heading towards goal, but a stop from Hart parries. Jones is on hand to pick up the pieces, but can only hammer over from close range.
Stoke playing some neat passing football at close range. Some of their play is very attractive indeed but yet to break down this makeshift City defence.
SUBSTITUTIONS Mark Hughes has decided to make a double change and new arrivals Arnautovic and Ireland have come on for their debuts, in place of Adam and Etherington.
Zabaleta just about bails out Garcia with a superb covering tackle, after Garcia had given the ball away inside his own penalty area with a shocking miscue. We're in for a fascinating last twenty minutes!
Adam tries his luck from range with a dipping and swerving effort, but ends up flying straight into the arms of Hart in the City goal.
CHANGE City have just made their first change of the afternoon, with Aguero on to replace Jovetic. The Argentine striker was a surprise omission from the starting XI, but now has around 25 minutes to make a positive impact at the Britannia.
Pieters blocks off Milner with a cynical foul that gifts City a free kick out wide, which results in Jovetic heading wide at the far post. That is just about as close as City have come to an opener,.
City win a corner kick as Pieters decides to take no chances at the far post, heading behind. Nasri whips a corner towards the near posr, which is headed partially clear by N'Zonzi.
CHANCE! Jones rises highest to meet a pinpoint cross from Adam, but with the goal at his mercy directed a header just beyond the far post.
STAT! Man City have scored at least twice in each of their last five Premier League matches. They had a run of at least two goals in 14 matches in a row from May to Nov 2011.
Moments later, much to the annoyance of those in blue, Javi Garcia goes into the book for a sliding challenge on Jones as the Spaniard attempted to make-up for being out of position.
Yellow Card Javi García
OUCH! Nzonzi clatters Yaya Toure with a late challenge which was horribly mis-timed but fortunately gets away with no caution.
MISS! Another wonderful opportunity spurned for Stoke and once again its Walters, who fails to get on the end of a wonderful curling cross towards the near post from Cameron.
At the other end, Jones draws the foul from Nastasic but once again, Mark Clattenburg opts against going to his pocket before City break through Jovetic.
We're back underway at Stoke-on-Trent as Negredo wins a soft free-kick on the left.
Both sides are back out at the Britannia and ready to get this tight clash back underway. Expect the likes of Crouch, Aguero and Dzeko to have a decisive impact from the bench if this one remains goalless.

Both sides have just lacked that killer instinct in the final third. Stoke boss Hughes will probably be the happier of the two managers at the interval, with his side creating the best chances so far. Jon Walters should have converted Adam's centre in the fifteenth minute but somehow headed wide.
HALF-TIME! And referee Clattenburg blows his whistle for the interval as we head into the break scoreless but it's been a thoroughly entertaining and competitive half.
Just one minute of additional time at the Britannia Stadium as Hart collects the loose ball from Adam's in-swinging delivery.
FREE-KICK! Huth brings down Jovetic with a late challenge but Kolarov's rising effort was never troubling Begovic. Just a couple of minutes till the break and it's fair to say, Stoke have had the better of the opening half.
SAVE! City play their way into trouble again as Nastasic is the latest to gift possession to the hosts. Adam picks up the ball before getting past Toure, with his drive from distance well held by Hart.
Jovetic comes deep to receive the ball from Rodwell, cutting inside before dragging a scuffed shot well wide from 20 yards. It's been a quiet debut for the Montenegro striker who has seen very little of the ball so far.
Kolarov drives inside, beating two players before finding Rodwell inside. The Englishman is just about to pull the trigger from 25 yards when N'Zonzi puts in a precise sliding challenge, which gets a roar from the home crowd.
Pellegrini's side just overdoing matters in their own half, and almost paid a heavy price there but for a fine stop from Hart.
SAVED! Another guilt-edge chance goes begging for the Potters. Nasri is bullied off the ball by Jones well inside his own half before the striker races through on goal but is quickly closed down by Hart.
It's been a game of few chances and little quality so far but the hosts will be happy with way the game has panned out, and they should be ahead through Walters but somehow the Irish man missed from a couple of yards.
N'Zonzi gets the benefit of a kind bounce in midfield and suddenly has the freedom of the City half to burst into. The Frenchman is unable to take advantage despite being clean through, with two covering defenders forcing him to check inside.
City are trying patiently to pick holes in a well organised Stoke defence but after a lengthy spell of possession, Nastasic goes for the killer pass and over-hits his attempt.
Stoke clear but soon concede possession once again as Walters is unable to control, before fouling Kolarov. Cameron is then penalised soon after for tripping Nasri, as City just start to take control of this match.
Back come City with a sustained spell of possession as Nasri and Milner swap flanks, creating an overlap which Kolarov nearly takes advantage of, as the visitors win a corner kick.
Etherington goes on a lung-busting run down the left but is tracked all the way by the ever-reliable James Milner. City just edging possession at the minute but it's all very even.
Things have just settled down a bit here as we approach the half-way mark in this first period. City are happy to be patient in possession while Stoke are content to sit back and hit the opposition on the break.
The home fans come alive as Adam clatters Milner out wide before Negredo goes close with a curling effort from 22-yards.
At the other end, a lovely one-two between Jovetic and Negredo creates an opening but once again, the Spanish striker's shot is tame.
CHANCE! Adam breaks down the left and picks out Walters with a wonderful cross, but with the goal at his mercy from six yards the forward fails to find the target.
Stoke venture into the opposition half for the first time and put together their first meaningful attack, however, Wilson fires wide of Hart's goal.
City are sticking to the rigid 4-4-2 formation and have been dominant thus far with the hosts unable to get out of their own half. Begovic has the opportunity to ease the pressure but his kick-out is aimless, gifting possession back to a sky blue jersey.
It's been a high-tempo opening to this game and Nasri goes close with the first shot in anger. Nzonzi loses possession in midfield before the Frenchman tests the handling of Begovic with a stringing effort - but the 'keeper is up to the task.
Stoke have slightly altered their approach since Hughes has taken over but the direct route may just reap some rewards this afternoon, especially with Javi Garcia filling in at centre-back. Walters attempts to latch onto Jones' flick-on but he's flagged offside.
First attack for City, playing in their traditional sky blue kits this afternoon, as Zabaleta floats a cross towards Negredo but Shawcross gets the better of his opponent before Kolarov fires high and wide from the follow-up.
An encouraging early spell of possession for the Potters as N'Zonzi and Cameron combine effectively, but Toure does enough to clear. At the other end, Begovic comes out to play sweeper but his clearance his wayward.
WE'RE AWAY! Mark Clattenburg blows his whistle and the hosts get the ball rolling, playing from left to right.
Both sides emerge from the dressing rooms to a typically raucous welcome at the atmospheric Britannia Stadium. With just a couple of minutes till kick off, you can get in touch with your predictions, thoughts and comments on Twitter. Include @RyanBailey37 in your tweet to contact us.
Stoke are aiming to record a third successive today for the first time since last December, which would in turn help Hughes make his best-ever start to a league campaign as a coach. City meanwhile are hoping to avoid back-to-back league defeats away from home for the first time since April 2011.

STOKE CITY: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Huth, Pieters; Walters, Nzonzi, Adam, Wilson, Etherington; Jones. Subs: Sorensen, Whelan, Pennant, Palacios, Arnautovic, Crouch, Ireland
TEAM NEWS: City have made five changes from the side that beat Hull before the international break - Stefan Jovetic, Negredo and Jack Rodwell all start while there is no place for Sergio Aguero or Edin Dzeko.
TEAM NEWS: Despite picking up knocks on international duty, both Kenwyne Jones and Jon Walters are fit enough to start but new acquisations Stephen Ireland and Marko Arnautovic have to settle for a place on the bench.
Just twenty minutes till kick-off and the team sheets are in...
The Chilean tactician has seen his side win two out of their three opening fixtures but after adding several multi-million pound players to the squad over the summer, expectations are high at the Ethiad Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini brings his side to the Potteries looking for his first away win as City boss, after a shock defeat at Cardiff last month. The visitors have yet to record a league victory at this ground and will be eager to end that wretched record today ahead of a busy seven days.
The hosts have made a positive start under new manager Mark Hughes and victory today over his former club would move the Potters into the top four.
